Using that much RAM would most likely officially qualify as "64 GB RAM required" (since 32 GB would not be enough to hold the game, the OS and some standard programs) which tbh is absurd - when you compare that with the modest system requirements for the game, it becomes pretty clear it was a memory leak in the game that caused this crazy amount of RAM usage. It took like 24-27GB on my PC with 64GB RAM, I guess efficient usage of available memory - why reread from M2 if you can keep it in RAM? We're looking forward to seeing you in Sanctuary - hopefully at the highest graphics settings, in all its glory! While your risk for damage to your GPU is small, we always suggest keeping your graphics drivers up to date - this will allow for any potential issues to be fixed before you even have to worry about it! It's important to note that the issues with bricked GPUs are not specifically because of any issue with Diablo IV - there have been widespread articles, comments, reviews and threads regarding the 3080ti card specifically and its numerous problems since release. While the comments echo many other cases of this happening, Youtuber Mortismal Gaming had another experience of a bricked GPU: Notably, a thread on r/Diablo cataloged their experience with a crash during a cutscene in a thread: With the Diablo IV Open Beta Weekend beginning tomorrow, NVIDIA has released new graphics drivers to ensure smooth gameplay and mitigate the risk of any damage to GPUs.Ī few reports have come to light since the Early Access Beta about graphics cards being bricked by playing the Diablo IV beta, specifically the 3080ti.
